Mechanical Project Manager
A well-established M&E Sub-Contractor is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to support the delivery of commercial and education sector installation projects in Eastbourne. The initial scheme is a £1.7m refurbishment project, with a strong pipeline of follow-on works expected over the coming years.
This role suits someone with a proven track record of delivering mid-value M&E projects who is confident managing programmes, subcontractors and commercial elements while maintaining strong client relationships.
The Role
Attend and contribute to pre-tender and technical meetings.
Manage site programmes, delivery schedules and on-site teams.
Oversee and coordinate mechanical subcontractors and suppliers.
Identify and implement value-engineering opportunities.
Maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants and partners.
Support cost control, variations and commercial decisions.
Manage procurement of materials, plant and subcontract packages.
Monitor quality, H&S compliance and project documentation.
Provide regular progress updates and reporting to senior management.
Experience Required
Demonstrable experience delivering £1m–£3m M&E projects (refurbishment or new build).
Strong mechanical engineering understanding with commercial awareness.
Experience in education or commercial sector projects desirable.
Confident leading site teams and managing multiple stakeholders.
Good understanding of procurement, variations and cost management.
SMSTS / CSCS preferred.
